Equipped with a LCD television and a surround system, TV Room serves as our digital entertainment hub. It’s the ideal place to enjoy movies and sports with your friends on a large screen. You can watch cable television (Premiere), connect your laptop for movies/presentations or plugin your own portable music player. Borrow the PlayStation 3 gaming system from the Mercator College Office and you are all set to enjoy PS3 games and Blu-ray movies in HD. The room has wireless internet connectivity and using on-campus LAN, you can also directly access your media stored on your laptops from the TV Room. There are more than enough comfy couches to ensure that you have a great time while watching movies. Please note that only mercatorians have transponder access to the room.

To make things easier for students, we have one universal remote in the TV Room to control all devices. Check out the remote guide (you will find this in the room as well).

To use the TV Room, all bookings should be made here.

A couple of things to note

1. TV Room bookings are on a first come-first serve basis, except for when the College Office or College Masters need it for a pre-planned event.

2. All the residents of Mercator College have transponder access to the TV Room.

3. The person under whose name the reservation has been made will be held fully responsible for any damage of college office property or missing items after they have used the TV Room.

4. Users are responsible for leaving the TV Room in a clean and orderly condition; no garbage on the floor, tables wiped clean, couches put back in order, equipment turned off.
