Dear Mercatorians, My name is Milan Andrejevic and I am the facility student of Mercator College. That means I am the first person you should contact if there is a technical problem either in your room (e.g. no light, broken wardrobe, clogged sink etc) or anywhere around the college (e.g. pool table is blocked, no light in common areas, printers not working). In that case you should fill out the short online report form that only takes a few clicks. Alternatively you can always drop in the College Office during office hours and ask for me there. There is no need and you shouldn’t try to repair things on your own – sometimes it might end up with tremendous bad effects. A very important point you should note is that you are *NOT* allowed to unscrew the drain that is in you shower cabin. Unscrewing it will result in a serious damage to the draining system of the whole college and possible flooding.
Few things to keep in mind to keep your and my lives a bit easier: Toilets: they can get clogged too, and it's even more unpleasant, so please don't use it as a trash bin - there should be a real one in your bathroom for that purpose. Where to request repairs? It would be best if you could follow the online procedure at http://facilityform.jacobs-university.de/. This will immediately send me a notification and I will respond to your request as soon as possible which is usually very soon. In really urgent cases though, you can call me at 5449, but please have pity, and don't call at ridiculous hours ;-) Also please look at some guidelines given in the FAQ section.
