| Facility Support |
|
My name is Mariya and I am the facility student of Mercator College. That means I am the first person you should contact if there is a technical problem either in your room (e.g. no light, broken wardrobe, clogged sink etc) or anywhere around the college (e.g. pool table is blocked, no light in common areas, printers not working). In that case you should write me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and describe the problem. Alternatively you can always drop in the College Office during office hours and ask for me there. Drivers for the printers can be found here. Printers are currently working properly so if you have problems with them, mind that most of you are using USB rather than LPT1 ports, so make sure you have selected the correct port before printing. A very important point you should note is that you are *NOT* allowed to unscrew the drain that is in you shower cabin. Unscrewing it will result in a serious damage to the draining system of the whole college and possible flooding.
To make life easier Few things to keep in mind to keep your and my lives a bit easier:
Toilets: they can get clogged too, and it's even more unpleasant, so please don't treat it as a trash - there should be a real one in your bathroom for that purpose.
Small things you should report directly to the facility student by sending an e-mail to

(with the exception of broken light-bulbs which you get in the College Office for free during Office Hours). Also please look at some guidelines given in the FAQ section. If you have further questions, please contact me on the e-mail address above. Have a prolific academic year! Facility Student at Mercator College |

Dear Mercatorians,
Wardrobes: It's relatively easy to tear the door apart from the rest by repeatedly hitting the lock when you open it, so please be careful.
Sinks: they do get clogged, quite easily, so be careful what gets in there. Especially if you have long hair you should pay attention when combing or washing your hair. Believe me, the mixture of hair and soap that accumulates below that silver button in the middle is one of the last things you want to see. If you're cautious about your sink, you can unscrew the silver button in the middle and take out whatever is there the first moment you notice the water used to drain faster.
