The new year 2005 and the beginning of the new semester were marked in style by another fine event from the Mercator Country Information Day series. The 12th CID happened on February 18th and the host country was Turkey. The Turkish students at IUB have prepared cosy atmosphere for their guests - traditional carpets, floor cushions, a hookah, decorations all around the common room. The night went on with friendly conversations, small sketches representing different aspects of life and culture of Turkey, with the pinpoints being dance and musical performances. As always, serving of traditional food concluded another successful evening of the CID series. Images here.
