 Thursday, September 29 saw another of the great Country Information Days in Mercator College. Students and stuff members from Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan joined forces to present the Arabian world to the IUB community. And boy, did they succeed!The Arabian CID was a great combination of humour and an informative and interesting presentation, in the tradition of previous Mercator CIDs. It was in its essence an elaborate theatrical play which portrayed the journey of a young man through the Arabian world, accompanied by his ginney. However, it also succeeded in subtly integrating the geographical and geo-political presentational part in the funny, satirical play. The whole show ended traditionally with some traditional Arabian food and a big party in the GSA lounge. For more pictures please click here. |
