The Fall semester was steam-rolling into full speed, when the second CID of this academic year took place. November 29th, 2007 was the date set for the long anticipated first Israeli Country Information Day in Mercator College.
Few they might were (only 4), but the organizers obviously had gone through a lot of pain to present to the curious audience an entertaining, yet educative walk through the land, culture and lifestyle of the ancient and new in the same time country Israel. All fears of potentially awkward or not fully politically correct moments were soon forgotten, as the Israeli staged a wonderful, humorous, and perfectly balanced program. In days like this one could really wish world politicians could learn something from the students at Jacobs University.
