Secret Santa

phoca_thumb_l_img_2089Though there are still some snowy days left until Christmas, the Mercatorians have already experienced its cosy feeling and the joy of receiving presents. The ingenious Floor Representatives have gathered together one day and came up with the idea that would make the Mercatorians release their originality and creativity.

For one week our college transformed into a cold war stage: everyone was spying on their target in order to "hit" them afterwards with the perfect present. The final "battle" was given on the 13th of December during the Christmas Cheer-up. Thus, the entire Christmas feeling was projected onto this day: the Mercatorians did not only receive pleasant surprises, but also artistically decorated the Christmas tree, backed delicious Christmas cookies phoca_thumb_l_img_2145that looked too beautiful for their short life, designed personalized Christmas cards in which they also glued a piece of their warm feelings and drank tasty Gluhwein with mouthwatering traditional German cakes and cookies in a relaxing atmosphere.

Still, the icing on the cake were the Christmas presents from the Secret Santa, so different and at the same time so similar in their purpose to match exactly the personality of the receiver. The week of spying and searching resulted in a lot of smiling faces and thankful emails to the anonymous Santa. Though the temptation was high, a lot of Santas decided to keep their incognito and to consider the joy they were able to bring to a fellow Mercatorian as their greatest reward.
