Jacobs goes Wiki

A Translational Project of Unheard Proportions

When:
10th of November at 18:30
Where: Mercator Common Room
Why: Is Jacobs really as international as you think?
What to bring: Laptops and your mother tongue. No prior wiki experience required.

Jacobs is a uniquely diverse place, with over 100 nationalities, but why does one of the world’s most useful websites not represent this? We are such a diverse student body that one would expect that the Jacobs Wikipedia page be accessible to all those around the world, yet it is only translated into five languages and a Dialect. Check it out yourself. Are we really only this diverse?

Mercator’s Floor-reps disagree and have stood up to the task, but we need your help to make the Jacobs page as diverse as possible. Our goal is to translate it into every language represented on campus, and not just five well known European languages. For that we need your help, we need your diversity, culture and Language. We Need You To Make This Project Happen.

Join us for an exciting translational experience this upcoming Wednesday 10th of November from 18:30 onwards in the Mercator Common Room. Bring Laptops and your Language. Food And Drinks are benevolently provided by the Mercator college office. No prior experience needed.

On behalf of the,

Mercator Floor Reps
