Relive childhood memories or experience what your German friends did in kindergarten! It’s German tradition to make lanterns for St. Martin’s day, the 11th of November, on which children walk through the streets with their lanterns while singing songs.
Join us to make lanterns on Wednesday evening in the Mercator College Office and show off your lanterns on Thursday evening on our own lantern walk.
This is a B-a-link initiative which plans on organising a Lantern Making Event on 10/11/10 (Wednesday) relating to the traditional German St. Martin's day celebrations followed by a walk around campus with the newly created lanterns on the 11th. They have chosen to organize this event in our college, as part of a longer and older successful symbiotic relation between B-a-link and Mercator College in which other events were organized such as the Creative Workshop before Christmas and the Christmas Present Drive.
