Dear All,

First in order is a big, ¨Thank you!¨ I am thrilled to be one of the representatives of Mercator College and am looking forward to exploring my own potential as a voice for our Mercatorian community as well the potential we have at Jacobs to shape the future of our young and growing university.

Second in order is a big, ¨Hello :D, my name is Franziska, nice to meet you :)¨  New to the parliamentarian world, I hope to be able to grow with you as we discover how approachable student parliament can be (I know I wasn´t very aware of what the USG was doing before this year),  and how we can all work together to create constructive changes. So I encourage any and all of you to come to speak to me if you have any questions or comments.

As you might know, the USG is working hard this year to increase transparency, and I urge everyone to become involved and aware. However, knowing how Jacobs life works, I know how realistic or unrealistic this may be at times.  So, please don´t hesitate to contact me at any time, or find me over lunch or dinner to discuss anything from the latest questions or concerns you may have regarding the USG to the Bremen weather ( though I am afraid we have no power to stop the rain :D). I´ll be happy to do my best to explain what actually goes on after you elected those parliamentarians ¡D.

This year, I have the pleasure of co-chairing the Environmental Affairs Committee with Tariq. Together we are going to pour our efforts into setting higher environmental standards for Jacobs, not only by providing the motivation but also the resources and facilities to do so. If you have any specific ideas or comments about this, again, you know where to find me.
