Dear Mercatorians,
first of all, thank you very much for entrusting me with carrying your opinions to the prime body for representing students' interests at this university. It is a great honor for me to be in this position and I will strive to live up to the responsibilities associated with the position.
I see university as the place where learning and not studying is at the forefront - as a consequence, I was more than happy to help facilitate the extracurricular life from the position of co-chair of the Committee for Events and Clubs, along with Ivo. My personal goals are to foster a campus environment of cooperation between students and all other groups and among students as well. A dream that I doubt can be fulfilled soon is that students become comparably as involved in valuable extracurriculars as they are in academics - nevertheless, promoting an awareness of the relative importance of knowing the right people over knowing the right theories is more attainable for the Committee for Events and Clubs.
I want you to know and make use of the fact that I am open to constructive criticism and discussions that can lead to the improvement of standards of overall living at Jacobs - approach me during my office hours or at any other time that I am not sleeping.
Blue smiles, Radu
