Dear Mercatorians,

First of all, let me say Thank You to all of you! I am very happy to represent your thoughts and ideas as a Mercator Parliamentarian in this-year’s USG.

Hopefully we will be successful in making some good changes over the course of the year. I know that there are plenty of issues that need improvement and since Jacobs is still is in the making and not yet made, it offers great opportunities for all of us to put our concerns for discussion.

Having studied at a public university with over 12.000 students for a year before coming here, I believe we are very fortunate to have so many opportunities at Jacobs. As the student-body we have the possibilities to make a difference and have a say in decision-making processes! Your opinions will be heard; you just need to voice them! Therefore, I would like to encourage every single one of you to contribute with your potential wherever possible.

Together with Lukas I will be chairing the Housing Committee this year. We will mainly be dealing with housing policies and most importantly with the room allocation at the end of the year.

I would like to let you know, that I will always be approachable, and that whenever you feel the need to talk about something that you think should be brought up in Parliament, I will be happy to listen to you.

Take care and have a wonderful year!

Eva
